ALPHA-LIPOIC ACID, also known as thioctic acid, is a naturally occurring compound that is synthesized in small amounts by plants and animals, including humans. Alpha-lipoic acid is a strong antioxidant and an essential cofactor for several mitochondrial enzyme complexes that participate in energy production. In Germany, alpha-lipoic acid is widely used to help those with peripheral neuropathy.

Suggested dose: The daily dose has not been established in formal clinical trials. Our recommendation is to take one tablet daily with food.
